3. How We Use Your Information
- Community directory: Your basic profile (name, location) is visible to other registered and approved members
- Matrimony portal: Your matrimony profile is visible to other registered members (family contact is only shown if you have enabled it, or to matched users)
- Business directory: Your business listing is publicly visible to help community members discover your business
- Admin approval: Your registration details are reviewed by the Master Admin or Taluka Admin for your region before your profile goes live
- Communications: We may contact you via mobile/email about your registration status, matches, or platform updates
4. Information Sharing
We do not sell, rent or share your personal information with any third party for commercial purposes.
Your information may be shared in the following limited circumstances:
- With Taluka Admins and the Master Admin, for the purpose of approving your registration
- With matched matrimony members (family contact number, if enabled by you)
- With technology service providers (Neon for database, Cloudinary for image storage, Render for hosting) who process data strictly on our behalf
- If required by Indian law or a valid government order
5. Photo and Image Uploads
Photos you upload (profile photos, business logos, horoscope documents) are stored securely on Cloudinary's cloud storage. All uploaded images are reviewed by admins before being made visible to other users.
Matrimony profile photos are visible only to registered and approved community members. Business logos are publicly visible.
6. Data Security
- Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and never stored in plain text
- All connections to our backend use HTTPS/SSL encryption
- Database access is restricted to authorised system components only
- Session tokens (JWT) expire after 7 days for members and 12 hours for admins
While we take strong measures to protect your data, no internet-based system is completely secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password.

You have the right to:
- Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your account and associated personal data
- Withdraw consent for specific uses (e.g. remove your matrimony profile from public listing)
